Description

This course is a study of methods, materials, and curriculum development with an emphasis on nutrition, safety and healthy lifestyles. Included is information for use in health activities and presentations for parents, community members and students middle school age through adult. Provides information on current trends in advocacy, health legislation and public policy. Also, this course looks at designs for developing, revising, and evaluating physical education curricula in grades 7-2 and administering the physical education program. The theory of measurement and assessment in physical education is presented along with selection and administration of appropriate tests. Prerequisites: EDU 110, EDU 233, and admittance to the Teacher Education Program. Note: Same as HPER 347.
