Description
An introduction to the media profession, survey of the history of journalism, discussion of the First Amendment as it pertains to American journalism, brief introduction to median ethics and other public issues pertaining to the profession, a survey of contemporary media practices and information outlets (Web, broadcast, and print), and a very brief introduction to communications theory.
